‘Cutty Wren’ is an atmospheric four-minutes film illustrating the boredom of middle-class existence through a middle-aged man in a state of frailty and growing despair. His behavior pushes the boundaries of acceptability as he struggles to come to term with his idiotic self. On the outskirts of London, by the woods, late into a dinner party with friends and family, our protagonist’s actions are accompanied by the performance of one attendee singing the traditional English folk song, ‘Cutty Wren’. |
