A Mexican- Americanized family inherit a fortune from a grandmother they didn’t know existed, but to have access to the money they must complete a list of tasks stated in her will, that forces the family to learn and ingrain their forgotten heritage. They must integrate the culture and traditions, history and language, even the Catholic religion and superstitions into their white- washed lives while legal, familial, and moral complications ensue. |
