‘Muse’ or “Lakambini” is a documentary showing a glimpse of the lives of three women from different communities, and their three distinct arts. It focuses on the art of these women, their process and inspirations, and their hopes for the future of their communities. Magdalena is a National Living Treasure, famed for her weaving, and living among a community of fellow women weavers. Imelda is a painter and printmaker, and one of the founding members of KASIBULAN. Kyla is a young creative, recently taking over the home linen store of her family. All three women use Philippine culture as their muse in the arts. |
