A powerful film that follows students at College of the Ozarks as they are given the opportunity to bridge gaps and build meaningful relationships with veterans of WWII. Since 2009, C of O has paired members of America’s greatest generation with students to revisit the sites of WWII in European and Pacific theaters. Five college students gather to recount their experiences on the 70th anniversary of the Bataan Death march in the Philippines and the Holocaust Remembrance Tour in Europe. Their interactions take us through the anticipation, the difficulties, the celebrations and the life-changing experience that the Patriotic Education Program provides. The students explain that their lives are forever changed due to America’s greatest generation and this very unique program at College of the Ozarks. |
