Luis Gutierrez, a high school, baseball phenom, on course for a career in the Majors, has everything going for him until he shows up in the wrong “hood”, at the wrong time. Tim Reynolds, an African-American man in the prime of his life, has a promising career as a Major League pitcher until his bad choices catch up to him and he’s diagnosed with a deadly disease. Despite age and cultural differences, the two meet by chance and an unlikely friendship forms.
