Details:

In 2012 I was invited to Lambay Island just off the coast of north County Dublin to make a record of one of the most important seabird colonies in Ireland and also the unspoilt nature of the island and buildings thereon. Lam bay Island plays host to the largest Guillemot Colony in Ireland and, since 2007, a steadily growing Gannet colony. The 16Th century medieval castle was transformed by Sir Edwin Lyons and the gardens were designed by Gertrude Jekyll. I used a Canon 7D to shoot both still images and HUD video, and used a Zoom H4n for stereo sound recordings. Sound recordings of both birds and sea shore were added along with a piece of harp music ( An Galosh) to add mood and atmosphere.
