The summer season is finally over. While closing down his bed-and-breakfast till next year, Sam is surprised by two charming women who have checked themselves in “just for a night or two.” Carol is married, but her best friend ‘J.L.’ is not. Sam agrees to let them stay as his only guests, but asks them one odd favor in return: Nobody share any personal information. Carol quickly agrees, but J.L. slowly grows uneasy. Tensions flare as a divide forms between the two best friends, and Sam remains secretive about himself and his past. Made on almost no budget, “When The King Tilts” is an intense, quirky, visually-pleasing, and often humorous examination of how people react when faced with the unknown. |
