The Palisades, towering above the Hudson River for more than 200 million years, have stood as a symbol of perseverance and grandeur. For over 80 years no buildings have risen above the tree line. But now, in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, the electronics company LG has been given approval to erect a tower that will rise well above the tree line, ruining one of the last undisturbed view-sheds in the Lower Hudson Valley. This film highlights some of the many compelling reasons why LG should revise its plans, be a good corporate neighbor, and build its headquarters like every other company has for more than half a century - below the tree line. |
