Voila! is a coming-of-age story, circa 1969, of an eleven year-old girl named Patty who is transported out of her natural milieu of a small prairie town for one night into the exotic grandeur of a luxurious hotel. She’s there to babysit her infant cousin while her glamorous aunt and uncle attend an awards banquet. When the baby is asleep and there’s nothing on the three channel universe, Patty begins to explore the Empress Suite. She discovers a room service menu and orders up, in a style befitting her surroundings and reflective of her pocketbook.
