Slapstick Bobby tells the captivating story of a poor boy who grows up under grueling conditions, but overcomes his adversity to one day be told he has become a man. However the person who welcomes him into adulthood is a drunken circus director who pays a prostitute to remedy Bobby’s virginal state, and propels Bobby into an inner struggle between what he feels is right, and the morals of his surroundings. When the confused young man returns home he must face his past, and, forced to react to his mother’s drug addicted life style, he is overcome with rage. But who is to blame, and where will his fury lead him? |
