Story Time Fables begins with a young boy’s escape from his tumultuous home life through listening to a recording of the story of Robin Hood. Finding solace in the fantasy world of Robin Hood, Little John, and the Merry Men, the adventures of Sherwood Forrest are a needed escape from reality. Revisting his childhood room as a troubled adult, he rediscovers the Robin Hood recording. While listening, he once again escapes into the fantasy world where he found solace as a child. This time, however, the fantasy is jarringly different. Robin Hood’s nemesis, Gisbourne now haunts the once welcoming Sherwood Forrest, and soon, real life and fantasy come crashing together. |
