Cash thinks Jer is lame, and decides to drag him to a party in order for him to loosen up a bit. Jer doesn’t want to go at all but goes anyway. Tara doesn’t want to go to the party but is dragged by her friend, Stacey. At the party, Jer meets Tara and they connect due to their hatred for the party. Dodging out on the crowd in the hopes for some quiet and perhaps a cigarette, Jer and Tara venture upstairs to the roof. They enjoy each others company and exchange some witty banter. There’s a connection. They kiss. Awkward. All teeth and tongue. They blame each other. The argument gets bitter quickly and they decide to return to the party. The door is locked. They continue to argue and Jer loses his credit card in the door trying to open it. Jer’s constant attempts to open the door and Tara’s conscience get the better of her and she decides that it would be a good idea if they kissed again. The two agree but Jer can’t get over his stage fright. Jer asks Tara to slap him as a way to get him over his fear. Tara eventually slaps him after Jer’s goading. It hurts. They kiss again. Before they can get the door open Cash and Stacey bust through it intent on hooking up. Jer and Tara, after assurance from their friends, leave to go to the bar, accidentally locking Cash and Stacey on the roof. |
