Mostly Awake revolves around an unemployed 20- something, named Max (Trevor Hamilton), who loses his apartment after an uninsured hospital bill pushes him over the fiscal cliff. After too many pity drinks in the park, Max is rescued from a collision with an L train by an eccentric wanderer, called Metaphysical Jesus (Sean McMahon), who decides to assist him in getting his life together. MJ (Metaphysical Jesus) gives Max a list of seemingly meaningless assignments, a really pure acid to stave off hunger and sleep, and sends him on his way to enlightenment. |
