THE ADYTUM Dissecting themes of power and idealism at the intersection of spirituality, sexuality and language, The Adytum is a modern secular space for spiritual self reflection. The film by the same title reveals the coming-of-age of a child born into socially dysfunctional circumstances. In contrast to the traditional ‘linear’ format, this film presents a more holistic, ‘feminine’ method of storytelling which weaves plot and theme in a way that mimics ‘web thought.’ The viewer is encouraged to reflect on morality and aesthetics with equal respect to both animal drives and human idealism. |
