Five young people wake up dead. Washed up by the tide they scramble to an abandoned beach house, soon realising that the perpetual night and blasts of pain suggest this is some version of hell. Between in-fighting and attacks by a demonic shadow creature, they recall the collapse of the nightclub that brought them here - and begin seeing hope of a second chance in the cabin’s two mysterious paintings… |

I really liked this movie… most people hate it, lol
this was ok i guess not great but good enough a 4/5 i would say.
An OK watch, for a one-time, no more. It’s slow-paced, with too much talking instead of action. The characters are unlikable, therefore I didn’t care for them. And I kept waiting for something to happen, which never did. It’s unfortunate, for there was potential here. What got to me the most, was the weakness of the female characters. In numbers only, you’d expect them to defend themselves more vigorously. I sensed the director and writers had some kind of perverse anger against women. It left a bad taste in my mouth. Borderline insulting, actually. That alone, cooled my heels off, then the lack coherence in the script. It just seems like they never knew how to end this movie. Unfortunate again, for the premise sounded interesting. Something that kept bugging me also, was the actress playing Robyn, Miranda Raison, and her constant pursed duck lips. Geez, what a distraction!
