Letters Home (2010)

Letters home is a tale of an asylum seeker who struggles to deal with life in the UK whilst waiting to hear weather he can stay full time and then be able to bring his family over from his troubled homeland. This is all told via a series of Letters home to his wife, which he cant bear himself to send home as the truth about his experience wouldn’t be exactly encouraging for her and her son. Eventually however the loneliness gets to much for him so he decides to send a letter home lying about how wonderful his life is here in Leeds. He befriends his English tutor who it is reveal is possible more lost and more lonely than our lead. This is all set to the back drop of Leeds, West Yorkshire just after the infamous court case involving two of Leeds United Football’s and a Local Student of Asian decent.
