Jonathan Doge (“e” is silent, just like him), nicknamed Dog, is an ex-Vietnam Airborne Ranger now Retired K-9 Sheriff. Dog has a sad personal secret and drinks too much. He receives a late night call from his estranged sister. Someone or something of hers is missing in his former small town and she needs his help. Dog reluctantly visits his childhood home and while investigating for his sister, discovers an underground crime ring based on a horrible premise. Dog is discovered poking his nose in their Business, so they try to murder him. Dog hides his full recovery in the hospital until he can escape to bring down this crime empire. He goes through a complete physical and emotional transformation that allows him to do to each criminal what they have done to their captives.
