‘Monster in the Bayou’, a short documentary film is about a giant sinkhole located deep in the Louisiana swamps and its effects on a peaceful,Cajun, bayou community. Their entire way of life is compromised as this sinkhole expands, literally in their backyards, and engulfs every aspect of their lives. Under a mandatory evacuation order since August 3rd, 2012, the people of Bayou Corne are both resilient and rich in culture and community, and prevail despite adversity and the challenges. |
