An independent short film, Hard to Find, is a psychological thriller, with a strong focus on the inner state of the characters and their mis-aligned timing of their respective transformations. Characters are depicted through a man and a woman, trying to find themselves through reaching out to each other. Their journeys are stretched like parallel lines that barely touch before separating again, preventing them from resting at a cross-road or find common grounds. Just out of reach, they exhaust their efforts, until she decides to stop trying to reach out for his hand and lets go. Though there may seem to be an air of regret in that moment of letting go, it is rather directed at their misaligned timing, as opposed to her decision to change. |
