After a few years of absence, a young man named Sandro returns to his homeland, the Post-Soviet Republic of Georgia, with the hope to reconnect with his lover, Tina, only to discover that she has been killed in a political protest and that he is the only person to take care of her burial. While organizing the funeral, Sandro tries to reconnect with his identity and his country only to witness the drowning of his expectations and discover that it is hard to become who you are and what’s more important - the water in which you used to swim is actually mud. |
