Spirit of Crazy Horse is an experimental short filled with masks, music, and movement that creates a visual and lyrical celebration of the of the Lakota, Crazy Horse, and the American Great Plains while challenging the viewers to reflect on the ways the lands were and are being used. Act 1 Scene 4 of ‘It Was a Beautiful Country’ A Rock Opera written by Dean Wellman. celebrating the Native American reverence for Mother Earth and Nature. This song was written by Jeff Hill and recorded with permission by The Medicine Band. Shot on location and edited by Dean Wellman this film is intended to bring awareness to the plight of Native Americans as well as their reverence for nature and how that reverence can relate to all people today. |
