The story is about a couple who live in the countryside of Hungary. One morning the wife suggests to cut the tree in their garden. At first her request seems like a random, rather stubborn desire, but she wouldn’t miss one occasion to ask for it over and over again. The husband loves his tree, still he considers her wish. But making his decision takes awfully too long. He misses his only chance to understand what his wife was trying to say. |
