The 1000th Subscriber is a psychological drama of a young couple using the internet to earn a living. Sally turns their home into a multi-camera site for paying customers to watch them 24/7 - Sally’s World. She sweet-talks the slightly reluctant Charlie into going along with her scheme. We watch them together in various rooms as they play out their somewhat unconventional relationship. Charlie’s unease with the situation grows as the watchers increase. Conflict for the couple intensifies when Sally gets repeated requests to ‘spice up’ the online experience for the voyeurs with more exposure, and the tension between the young lovers boils over into serious consequences. |
