I think some people might glance at this & think it’s a movie about Hip Hop, it’s more about the LAPD & the cover ups & corruption around them. Drug dealing, murders etc.. It was good watch from first to end whether you like hip hop or not.
city of lies,perfect title,but nothing changes,4/5
Really good!
eff 01/21: Brand New HDCAM with HC (Hard-Coded) English Subtitles.
The “Systemic Anamolly” the natural eventuality! This is what you get, when you, this this and this, doesnt matter what you think you deserve, the truth reveals.
eff 06/14 : Brand New BD (Blu-Ray)Versions.
Being a crime history buff I was familiar with the LAPD Rampart scandal and man was my mind blown when all the dots started being connected between that case and the BIG murder. The writers (and Poole) did a fantastic job of presenting a very layered, detailed case of high level police corruption and the proceeding cover up. Depp did a bang-up job as usual.
Wow, if it ever comes out a Black cop killed Biggie… Oof that City is done. A solid Depp performance. Don’t know how this one slipped by. Definitely recommend this during these lean movie times
