A family of thirteen struggles with the recollection of their father’s death by 3 black youth’s who were acquitted of the crime in 1973 Baltimore. Emily, who never met her grandfather Henry, engages her aunts and uncles, and others to recall the incident in order to understand the circumstances surrounding her grandfather’s death. Her investigation uncovers the family’s life in racially divided Baltimore and the repressed feelings the family secret has caused. Will closure of the death of their father ever truly be realized? |
