Other People is a narrative video series about three ugly Brooklyn roommates living in a haunted loft. A tattooed bike messenger, a caustic performance artist, and a tranny hip- hop dude must navigate the travails of a home where any off-the-wall occurrence can happen. Lying somewhere between Peewee’s Playhouse and the works of David Lynch, the piece utilizes live performance, puppetry, stop-motion animation, motion graphics, green screens, giant props, and wild costumes, all in a homemade, janky way. Psychedelic and purposefully low-fi, the narrative explores a strange and ever-shifting definition of family and place.
