This film is based on a novel by Francine Rivers. I have not read the novel but I am told this film follows closely to what was written. Putting aside ones strong Christian belief system, or ones lack of, the actors and acting was done well and with the detailed scenes it was a well top notch movie.I gave it a 4 for doing a great job in what it was trying to do. Those of you who are a fan of Eric Dane “The Last Ship” you will find him playing a very different kind of role here.
