My father (Who trained me mercilessly) was a skilled hunter hunter that got hired to remove nuisance predators/invasive species/ or damaging animals by the states or property owners all over New England. (I became a devoted animal lover despite my upbringing or perhaps because of it). If it wasn’t manufactured, the water spilled on the bank of the oasis in the sandman episode would have had me camping out there LOOONG TERM. Animals not even the native bear species would have slopped water around like that when drinking and if they had gone into the pool they would have left a much larger wet trail than what was there given the period of time. The first thing I thought of when they showed the wet spot on the bank is that is what it would look like of someone hand cupped water in both hands to drinks. Any skilled hunter will tell you a single over night post up is far tooooo short a time to expect to catch anything that’s not overly abundant or careless from disease or poor health that said this shot gets a fat thumbs down from me as do all shows where they expect to spend 24 hours and catch anything useful.
