Wow so Disney is fine with one race of people declaring their race as King? I understand at the moment there is a movement for the injustice done to that particular race against the police, however how can it be ok for that title, yet if a chinese man declares Asian as the supreme race he will be shunned by all…before i am called names, attacked. etc I am a black man with asian family members in a mixed family. I am just putting this discussion up for debate as it is a pretty bold move from Disney of all companies who is known to be all about family and family values for its films
Truly, please keep Asianness (and any wild speculation about a hypothetical and irrelevant race-swap situation) out of this conversation, especially when using it as a means to divide already (and differently) oppressed races in America. We Asian Americans are showing up here just as excited and desperate as anyone else to find bootlegged links for Black Is King. Why harsh that buzz? Damn.
And, yeah, seconded. Disney. Been. Racist.
