First, the subtitles were incoherent. That was annoying. Now, At first, I didn’t realize that this was a sequel to “The wave, which was a decent movie. But with this installment, I can’t say the same. I expected the main character to have evolved, be in a different stage of his life, after the hardship he went through with his family and neighbors. Nope. Still a loser of a father and husband. His wife was too forgiving of his failure as a man. This was the exact same movie than the first part, just later in time. No attempt at a decent plot, no development of the characters after the previous facts, just different setting and the same action. But it really bothered me that despite what happened the last time, people STILL didn’t seem to want to believe what was happening right before their eyes. They’re supposed to be scientist, right? Aren’t they supposed to always think of the worse case scenario? That didn’t make sense to me, especially when Kristian was right the first time around. And the kids, of course. Despite what happened to them, not listening when warned. sigh. Ah, stupid little Julia. The cliches were sooo bad, I screamed at the screen. People just standing there, looking around instead of running for safety. Making stupid decisions. Ugh. The only good things? The acting and the effects. Yup, another disappointing sequel, that had potential but failed.
