News on the 2nd season: a second season of Andor was commissioned by Disney Plus, and yes, it is still happening. It started filming in September 2022 and was expected to last until August 2023. However, the SAG-AFTRA strike resulted in a production shutdown before it could be completed. It has not yet resumed production. It’s unlikely that Andor season 2 would air this year - especially with all of the Star Wars shows already planned.
