Out of nowhere, eight-year-old Simon runs in front of the inspectors Klaus Borowski and Mila Sahin in a coastal forest near Kiel. Confused, the boy reports that his grandfather is lying dead in the forest, that he was attacked by a dog and protected by an Indian. Borowski hurriedly searches the forest, but finds nothing.
