Clever blending creates the perfect color stain for new floorboards installed to patch bare spots created by the wall demolition. Alison literally brings the outdoors in with chunky live-edge shelves and an antler chandelier. Maggie and Alison build a rolling side table from a reclaimed log. Mitch and Alison construct a huge island table entirely from salvaged 2x4s. The focal point of the new dining area is a mural wall with a forest motif. Cream colored cabinets contrast with dark granite countertops, and rubbed bronze hardware gives a warm glow. Matte gray tiles bring a clean, linear look to the backsplash. Extra touches include a pot filler over the stove and a wine cooler in the new bar area.
