Fans of Archer know that as the TV seasons change, Archer and the cast change their whole character scenario. Here in Season 8 Archer is a Private Investigator. In case viewers don’t recognize, this is a play on the book series by (and surely a tribute to) Ross MacDonald who wrote (in many critic’s opinion) the BEST PI novel series, with his PI character… Lew Archer. Pick up any Ross MacDonald novel and you will be hooked. I started with The Chill and voraciously read every other Lew Archer novel I could get my hands on. Some of the movies made are good, but none as good as the books.
