Love this show. Who do you think would win in a Deathbattle? The Crypt Keeper or Creepshow Ghoul?

Same guy, basically. The inspiration for both characters (and both shows) was an old comic series called The Vault of Horror as well as another called Tales from the Crypt. You’ll note in the credits for the HBO TV series, Tales from the Crypt, The Vault of Horror was often cited as parent material. Originally The “Vault Keeper” was very different looking. In his incarnation on Creepshow he is now ghoulish, a la the Cryptkeeper. He’s now an amalgam of the two and the only vestige of the original character is the green hood. And the original Creepshow movie (written by Stephen King, directed by George Romero and inspired by VoH and TftC) were adapted into comics along with some other short stories (like Children of the Corn) through the 80s. The comics’ title? Creepshow.

Yeah, I agree. The crypt keeper was awesome but I think the creep would snap him in two.
