The competition continues. Clemency Burton-Hill and Alison Balsom host as five young musicians perform in the woodwind final. This year's all-female line-up features flautists Lucy Driver, Marie Sato and Joanne Lee, saxophonist Jess Gillam, who reached this stage of the competition last time around, and recorder player Polly Bartlett. Repertoire ranges from Telemann to Dutilleux.All of the woodwind finalists will be hoping to convince the jury that they deserve a place in the overall semi-final. |
