Olaug Pettersen lives alone in an otherwise abandoned fishing village in the far north of Bjarkøy municipality in Troms. In the course of four years, she lost three of her closest friends. The man died of health problems, while two sons died in separate accidents at sea. All three lie in the churchyard at Meløyvær, and it is the three graves that bind her to the town. But Olaug has fought through adversity and finds joy in everyday life. |
