In this episode, host Tim Shaw embarks on a scientific journey of extreme heat. First, Shaw stops by a rooftop BBQ to test the heat of a Fresnel lens, an innovative design used by lighthouses to concentrate light, but it can also be used to create an incredibly hot beam on a single focus point.
