The guru of street science, Tim Shaw, takes us on an incendiary Las Vegas road trip to find out why things do what they do. For his first experiment, Tim shows us what happens when a truck is driven at just 35 miles an hour beneath a set of falling cinder blocks. Next, Tim demonstrates how water balloons can stop bullets. Then he uses a $25,000 hovercraft to showcase the astonishing power of hurricane-force winds, and shows Vegas passersby what happens when two sports balls are dropped together. Finally, Tim takes a detour into the desert to test the explosive potential of four cars, each with a different amount of gas in its tank - and only one of them produces a massive gas-fueled explosion. But the question is - which one? Stand by for an exhilarating ride in this edition of his street science roadshow. |
