Manami, no longer in possession of her extraordinary abilities, becomes a human again, but she has no memory of the vampires. 15 years later, the humans and the Corvins are spending a peaceful life together in the hotel. They were told that the world is contaminated with radiation. However, Cody knows otherwise. Akari is almost 14 and shows an interest in the outside world. She asks Cody to take her with him on one of his trips outside. As a birthday surprise, Cody invites Akari outside. Cody disappears, leaving only 1 week's worth of food behind. If the humans starve, the vampires do too.
