When her baby is born with a cleft palate, she is determined to give him up for adoption, feeling the deformity is due to her defying her parents by getting married, till Dixie and Dr. Brackett speak with her. Dixie then locates the woman's parents, who also had family. Dr. Morton reads Johnny the riot about his physical condition, which starts the paramedic on a fitness regimen.
