By Florian Iwersen Shortly before morning prayers, the novice Jakob Andresen is found murdered in front of the altar of the monastery church. The way the body was arranged suggests ritual murder. But there are also some arguments in favor of an act in an emotional state. Among the confreres, the dismay at Jakob's murder was limited. The deceased was a late caller and had only been active in the order for a year. At his instigation, to the annoyance of some confreres, the church was opened to the homeless at night. |
