In the summer of 1942, the American Navy is finally on the offensive. The first strike is in the Solomon Islands, North of Australia. Enterprise supports the first American Invasion of World War II as U.S. Marines storm ashore at Guadalcanal. The Japanese strike back with a vengeance, and in a brutal slugfest in the Eastern Solomons, the Enterprise suffers its worst battle damage yet. |
