When Aaron and Janea found a 60's ranch house on a huge wooded lot in the exurbs, they knew it was the place they wanted to raise their family. However, the interior was stuck in a 70's time warp. They've removed paneling and made updates in some of the living spaces, but felt the kitchen was more than they could tackle on their own so they brought in Licensed Contractor James Young. Plans for the new space include reusing the cabinet boxes and updating the doors, upgrading the countertops with DIY soapstone, plus adding a new larger island and a dining area that includes a built-in bench. |
