Ryan and Lisa Bender started their kitchen renovation over a year ago by redoing the floors, but had to put in on hold for some very good reasons. Lisa found out she was pregnant, and then shortly after discovered she had breast cancer. She got through surgery and the majority of her cancer treatments, and just a few months ago, delivered a beautiful and healthy baby girl. So now - they're ready to finish what they've started. Their kitchen is a bright yellow wasteland - with minimal cabinets, storage space, and some very old appliances. But with the help of contractor James Young, they'll bring in a variety of metals and wood to turn it into a mixed material masterpiece. |
