Hobie's new friend, Isaac, is a frustrated and angry young kid who will do almost anything to get his distant, workaholic father's attention, like trying to swim down a dangerous offshore reef cataract called "the shredder." Meanwhile, Caroline befriends Cory, an ex-jockey pretending to be blind after an accident during a horse race. She encourages him to race again to help regain his confidence. Then an old rival of Cory's pushes him into a grudge horse race at the beach to test the will of the other. |
