Charlie is back, and this time, he's exploring winter festivals across the country from barrel burning in Devon to Morris dancing in Gloucestershire.The writer and actor will once again be travelling and camping in his yellow campervan, as he delves in to the country's Pagan past, gaining a deeper understanding of the winter solstice, a celebration in which there has been renewed interest.The Barrel Burning festival in Devon's Ottery Saint Mary is also on Charlie's wintery itinerary. Having been held every November since the 17th century, the townspeople believe that by lighting barrels filled with tar and running through the streets, they can protect their community from malevolent forces.
