Hitler decides to take a risk and invades the Soviet Union. In the north, the goal is to take over the Petsamo mine, the port of Murmansk and the Murmanni railway. Finland joins the war alongside Germany. In the third episode of the Silent Arctic Wars series, we follow how the attack planned as a quick summer war freezes in the heat and the Germans face a cold arctic winter. The allies are dissatisfied with Finland's actions and decide to tighten their grip on the Arctic region. The war expands and the parties begin to fight a convoy war in the Arctic Ocean and a weather war on the Arctic islands. |
