The Dream City Cinema Club was an adult movie theater operating illegally. On February 26, 1994, David Lauwers fought with its doorman, after which he was ejected. He returned to exact his revenge 30 minutes later with a can of petrol, which he poured into the entrance and set alight. The fire took hold quickly, trapping the staff and patrons inside and sparking a hunt for the murderous arsonist. |
