The Udmurts were first mentioned in the annals called "Tale of the Vyatka". This is quite an exciting story of the Novgorod army, which in year 1181 "beat many outlanders and enemies, and they scattered around the forests." Anton Zaitsev tries to find an Udmurt dish that was popular those days, and also find out what interesting culinary traditions of the Vyatka have survived to the present! |
